Qaramtian Rulers declared Multan as their capital and also took steps to preach and promulgate their Ismaili faith, in this way first center of marsiya was established under the petronage of Qaramti Rulers. These rulers also done the petronage of Azadari or lamenting and elegy same as done by rulers of Bejapor, Golkandah and Lakhnao after centuries.
