An intellectual review of Mazhar Qalandrani's poetry in the literary development of Muzaffargarh

Abstract

This analytical based study basically deals with the literary development of Muzaffargarh. The region Muzaffargarh is considered one of the important and historical region of Punjab in Pakistan as it has produced lot of literary personalities i.e. Dr. Maher Abdul Haq, Pathany Khan, Hafiz Abdul Aziz Pirharvi and many others are very remarkable. The study looks the literature of the district with different personalities but the focus is the contemporary poet Mazhar Qalandrani. He earned a good name in especially Urdu poetry and His Ghazals are good in poetry. The article explores and highlights not his poetry but also analyze nature of poetry and its thematic concept that Mzahar poetry reflects.
